Being Blunt

Emily Blunt is said to be in talks to play Natasha Romanoff, aka the Black Widow for Iron Man 2 according to Variety.



In the comics series mythology Romanoff is a Soviet super spy in a skintight black costume that is enhanced by high-tech weaponry.

While I'm sure that The Devil Wears Prada beauty could fill the role (and costume!) quite well...

She would join the previously-announced villains played by Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell in the sequel. I wonder if the sequel will become too villian heavy ala' Spider-Man 3?

Jon Favreau's returning to call action from a Justin Theroux screenplay--which begins shooting begins this Spring.
