A Reel Connection

The IESB says that the character of Donald Blake has been added to the end of the script of the upcoming Thor film.

Previously, the script was set entirely in the land of the Norse Gods but the introduction of this character is critical to howThor ties into The Avengers film which is set in present day .

The scene has Blake discovering the magical Norse hammer Mjolnir and turning into Thor.



Kenneth Branagh who will direct Thor will also have an acting part. It opens July 2010. "The Avengers" film is currently scheduled to debut July 2011.
