AICN has it on reliable sources that the the bros are set to take on a new trilogy relaunch.
Frequent Wachowski collaborator James McTeigue is said to have spoken about it on on a German TV show special on RTL1 that dealt with the films being released in the coming year.
The story adds that Superman Returns helmer Bryan Singer has refused to be involved in the reboot and may fall back on his long-planned "Logan's Run" remake, but points out that the Wachowski duo are still just considering the offer.
The pair have "Plastic Man" in development with McTeigue serving on that crew, should they take on Supes it's likely though that McTeigue will be promoted to full on director of "Plastic Man".
Assume it's true....My gut says this is terrible notion... After the Speed Racer fiasco the studio is willing to entrust its flagship hero to them!!??
