The film will trace DeLorean's rise and fall as a young executive VP at General Motors where he developed the Pontiac GTO and Pontiac Firebird along with the creation of his own company DeLorean Motors and the DeLorean DMC-12 made famous for its Back to the Future time machine appearance.
In 1982 he was arrested on charges of drug trafficking to help his faltering auto company but was later freed two years later after a court ruled he was a victim of government entrapment.
