A casting mis step has been fixed...Harry and his crew at AICN say that the role of Hale Caesar in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action flick The Expendables has been recast for a 2nd time.
A few days ago news broke that Oscar winner Forest Whitaker had to bow out of playing the character who sends the group of mercenary heroes on their mission.
The role then went to rapper 50 Cent a.k.a Curtis Jackson, which began a wave of online backlash. Thankfully Sly thought better of the switch and Cent is no longer involved.
Instead former footballer turned actor Terry Crews will be taking over the character.
Though no Whitaker, Crews is a step up -he's been in everything from Idiocracy to White Chicks to Balls of Fury to Street Kings to Get Smart
While I'm glad...The backlash must have gotten to Sly more than was first thought...
Crews will appear in both "Terminator Salvation" and "Game" later this year.
