The project was announced 2 years ago-- telling the true story of one record producer and two lip-syncing male models who sold millions of albums and even won a Grammy before their scam was exposed.
The biopic will reunite Ratner with screenwriter Jeff Nathanson, who penned Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3 for the director..
Ratner also has the biopic-themed Mr. S: My Life with Frank Sinatra in his sights as well.
