"Star Trek" gets a few hours ahead of its scheduled May 8th bow-starting at 7pm on Thursday, May 7th reports Coming Soon as opposed to midnight.

The early debut not a shock--given buzz on the flick....this is now the norm for big films during blockbuster periods...

A few reviews have begun to trickle out post the-Austin/Sydney premiere of last week including Garth Franklin and his excellent take on Dark Horizons, TrekMovie's review and Empire's thoughts
