The in-development sequel is based on the comics series created by Mark Millar.
Chris Morgan , who co-wrote the first film, will pen the story that Spiliotopoulos will use.
Marc E. Platt and Jim Lemley are producing with Timur Bekmambetov, who directed the 2008 film and is attached to helm the sequel.
With animated fare like Pooh's Heffalump Movie The Jungle Book 2, Tinker Bell: A Midsummer Storm. The Three Musketeers, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning and the CG adventure flick Terra under his belt--Spiliotopoulos makes an odd choice to take this on... The studio must have lots of confidence.
