It appears that Sony Pictures is moving forward with its "Spider-Man" spin off flick about Spider-Man 3 villian Venom says Sci-Fi Wire.Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese told the site that they are already at work on the script but are sworn to secrecy:
"We're under strict orders on Venom. We can't talk about it. It's just super secret"
They "know the mythology of Venom, but went back and learned more when it became clear that we could actually get this job"
The character works best going up against a hero not as an anti-hero...Watching Venom jump from different hosts during a 2 hour film would be hard sell for me. I too know the character's mythology...I just don't think it's that film worthy.
