True Blue

Just off the news of a Martin Scorsese-directed Frank Sinatra biopic...

Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that Johnny Depp is the studio's top choice to play the legendary crooner in "Sinatra".

The site says that the role does NOT require the actor to sing which allows the producers to cast from a larger field.

The movie will feature Sinatra's own recordings thanks to a deal with Frank Sinatra Enterprises and Warner Music Group

Field Of Dreams” writer Phil Alden Robinson pens the screenplay

Scorsese and Depp have never worked together, though the site does suggest that unlike the studio, Scorsese may be championing his regular cohort Leonardo DiCaprio to play Sinatra

Today The NY Post also has James Franco among the possible contenders...

It's gonna be tough...Depp, DiCaprio, and Franco all have swagger...but none of them still seem right at first glance...
