Often ripe for tabloid fodder star Lindsay Lohan wants to get back to a faulty (after the '07 clunker I Know Who Killed Me) film career...Lohan will star in the fantasy comedy "The Other Side" says Variety.
The story centers on a grad student who must spend the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island. She discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret about a tragedy that took place many years before.
Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.also star.
David Michaels and Phil Reeves co-wrote the script and Michaels will direct.
On hiring Lohan Michael said:"Lindsay's very aware of people's perceptions of her. She's really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that."
A fantasy element was also present in the '06 comedy Just My Luck with Lohan and future Captain Kirk--Chris Pine...
Shooting is set for October on an island off the coast of Massachusetts
