Stunt Casting

Jackass member star Chris Pontius (perhaps better known by his alter ego "Party Boy") has has joined the cast of Sofia Coppola's drama "Somewhere"--trading idiotic stunts for a real acting gig.



Pontius will play Sammy, best friend of a decadent, bad-boy actor (Stephen Dorff) living at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood who begins to re-examine his life after a surprise visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning).

Coppola wrote, and will also produce/direct.

Pontius has been in a few films. But this would mark his biggest supporting role and most dramatic effort.

Coppola's gamble indeed...
