Money Machines

Rival studios must be getting a bit nervous right about now...

Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily posts that early tracking figures for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" project the film could make as much as $175 million in its five-day opening from Wednesday June 24th to Sunday June 28th.

Sounds about right--since no other summer '09 flick has had or will have the luxury of a 5 day spread.... With no other blockbuster competition.

That would make it the second highest grosser, beaten only by "The Dark Knight" which took in $203.7M in its first five days. "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "Spider-Man 3" all took in between $169-172M in their first five days.

The first Transformers film fetched $124.1M during the same period in '07.

Meantime star Shia LaBeouf says Transformers 2 is Bigger, Faster, Stronger...Enough with the "The Six Million Dollar Man" sounding description...I have to ask though--Does that mean co babe Megan Fox is gorgeouser...?
