Old Haunts New Tricks

Married duo Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette are said to be in talks to star in a new "Scream" trilogy reports EW.

The original trilogy creator and scribe Kevin Williamson is said to have been working on a new set of films which plans to bring back many of the characters from the original movies

He has approached the pair to reprise their roles of Gale Weathers and Deputy 'Dewey' Riley.

No word yet if Neve Campbell, or any of the other actors from the other films will return in Scream 4 and beyond... Part of the still pending deal also negotiates Cox to work around her new TV show "Cougar Town" which just got picked up

Will Wes Craven return to call the shots?

The first film reinvigorated the horror film and spawned lots of imitators--Reigniting that brand might be fun as long as Williamson stays put (He did not write Scream 3 and it definitely showed) .

Production may kick off this Fall.
