Ready Set Release

A release date 2-fer-1 with a hat tip to Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons:

Paramount Pictures is targeting a 2011 release for "Mission: Impossible 4" reports Variety.

The reason for the delay is
J.J. Abrams commitment to the "Star Trek" sequel and Tom Cruise involvement in the untitled James Mangold project at Fox.

The Mission delay...Does that mean Abrams will direct both Trek the Second and MI 4?

The trade also reports that Sony Pictures Classics will release Michael Haneke's Palme d'Or winning "The White Ribbon" in New York and Los Angeles on December 25th.

Shot in black-and-white the film takes place in a German village right before
World War I
