Funny People

Director Ryan Fleck and producer Anna Boden who brought you the great Half Nelson and Sugar are at it again with the coming-of-age dramedy " It's Kind of a Funny Story" says The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on Ned Vizzini's 2006 young-adult novel of the same name, the story centers on a 15-year-old boy named Craig who while, battling depression, checks himself into a psychiatric hospital but finds himself placed in the adult ward. He has a series of colorful and dramatic relationships with a group of adults -- many of whom he finds are far crazier than he is He also meets a girl his own age there as well.

Fleck and Boden will direct from a script they wrote. The $8 million movie is filming in late Fall with casting well underway.

If this is even half as good a film as the duo's previous efforts....Watching this one folks to see what develops
