District 9 writer-director Neill Blomkamp is teaming up with Media Rights Capital for an as yet untitled sci-fi pic says Variety.Blomkamp plans to begin work on writing and preparing the visual effects for the production which will have a modest budget yet is expected to cost more than the $30 million that was spent on "District 9".
Blomkamp claims to have chosen MRC as it allows him to make the film without interference or compromise.
Cameras are due to roll in kick in mid-2010.
