He makes gals hearts go all flutter on TV's Grey's Anatomy, now star Eric Dane will surely use some of those natural skills for his next film role--having joined the cast of Steve Antin's musical drama "Burlesque" says Variety.



The story centers on the journey of Ali, an ambitious small-town girl (Christina Aguilera) with a big-town voice who finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club.

Dane is playing the role of a charming, highly successful businessman who offers to buy the burlesque club from its owner Tess (Cher) and vies for Ali's heart.

Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming co-star. Production began on the film this week to meet a Thanksgiving 2010 release.
