Stand "Proud"

The key trio behind the 1995 thriller Se7en will reunite to bring Max Ehrlich's book "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud " back to the big screen says the Heat Vision blog.

David Fincher is attached to direct, Andrew Kevin Walker adapts, and Fincher will co-produce the pic with Michael De Luca..

The story centers on a college professor who begins having recurring dreams and nightmares. Soon he theorizes they are images of a past life, and decides to search out the source of the visions.

With his girlfriend in tow, he discovers a woman and her grown-up daughter who are keys to his past life.

The new version will follow the 1973 novel more closely than the Michael Sarrazin, Jennifer O'Neill and Margot Kidder starring 1975 feature adapted by Ehrlich himself--updating the setting for the 21st century.

The previous pic didn't exactly light up the room--it was average as movies go. I expect a better result with the Seven trio at work on this one.
