Fly My Saucer

Lovely Cherry Hill NJ native Ali Larter is a frontrunner to join Joshua Jackson in the new $130 million adaptation of Gerry Anderson's 1970s UK sci-fi series UFO, playing the role of Virginia Lake says Forbidden Planet

Director Matthew Gratzner:

"We've talked to Ali Larter, who's very interested. I've actually met with her, and I think she would be a great addition to the picture. Lake is very strong and obviously also very feminine, and Ali Larter definitely encompasses that."

Jackson plays Paul Foster, a test pilot who joins S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), a covert organization built under a Hollywood studio that defends Earth against a race of aliens who have been abducting humans and using the body parts.

Wanda Ventham played Lake role in the original series.

Gratzner adds that plans for a trilogy are already there- "There are three movies planned. The first script is completed, and number two and number three are treatments - and numbers two and three are even more spectacular."

Since I stopped watching Heroes a year ago the ratings have only gotten worse...It would be great if Ali moved on with a film trilogy...
