The story follows a Cold War spy (Gibson) who comes out of retirement to confront a domestic terrorism threat from Russia by joining with a younger agent.
Chuck Mondry wrote the script.
This would reunite Gibson with "Lethal Weapon" writer Shane Black, who is set to call action
Michelle Manning, David Greenblatt and Anthony Bagarozzi are producing the pic.
Gibson on the comeback trail--back in theaters this weekend in Edge of Darkness-- begins shooting the independent action drama "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," based on a screenplay he wrote in March
