Gerard Butler will star in the indie drama "Machine Gun Preacher" says Deadline Hollywood.Telling the true story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who found God and became a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children who've been kidnapped and pressed into duty as soldiers in the Lord’s Resistance Army. Childers established Machine Gun Preacher Angels of East Africa and an orphanage to house 200 children, recover other kidnapped kids, and dispense outlaw justice on their captors.
Quantum Of Solace director Marc Forster co-wrote the script with Jason Keller and will xall action.
Filming is set to start later this year.
