Susan Sarandon is in talks to star in a film remake of the 1960's classic series, The Big Valley says The Hollywood Reporter. The show was set in 1870's San Joaquin Valley. Victoria Barkley, played on TV by the great Barbara Stanwyck.who oversees her family as they must deal with various obstacles of the the era.
Sarandon's up to play that character
Daniel Adams ("The Lightkeepers") wrote and will direct the adaptation.
Kate Edelman Johnson, daughter of the show's creator Louis F. Edelman, will produce.
Filming kicks off in May in Michigan and New Mexico.
