MacGyver is going to take MacGruber -a film version based on the Saturday Night Live sketches featuring Will Forte and Kristen Wiig-to court says Latino Review
A scooper tells the site that the laws of parody are extremely strict and that since Lee Zlotoff, (he created MacGyver) is working on the new film based on the 80's series.
Zlotoff has been issuing cease and desist orders to the suits and is considering filing copyright and trademark lawsuits to get an injunction against the film's release. "We feel they're infringing our rights," says Zlotoff's attorney, Paul Mayersohn,
Uh oh. The sketches are pretty lame. I kinda hope MacGyver wins this one so that the world doesn't have to suffer needlessly through the MacGruber film.
