"Legally Blonde" duo Karen Lutz and Kirsten Smith will write a remake of 1982's ""The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" says Variety.
The original musical comedy saw a town sheriff (Burt Reynolds) and brothel madame (Dolly Parton) join forces to stop the Chicken Ranch, the famous local whorehouse, from being shut down by a righteous TV moral crusader.
The remake will be a musical but it's uncertain if all or any of the numbers from the original film will be included in the new version.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce.
The '82 film itself based upon musical sunk like a stone--even though Lutz And Smith have a decent track record--maybe they should start from scratch
