No One Wants Apes Reboot...

...That's probably cuz' the 2001 remake of the 1968 ' classic SUCKED! And everyone knows the potential is high for it to happen again and so nobody wants to take it on...

The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow, Sin City director Robert Rodriguez and Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) have all declined offers to direct Caesar- the proposed reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise reports The Vulture Blog.

It would seem that producer Peter Chernin has been having difficulty getting the studio's top-choices interested in making the pic. Yet the studio still seems intent on making the movie anyway. Ugh!

The latest batch of offers are out to the likes of Albert and Allen Hughes ("From Hell,") Pierre Morel ("Taken,"), James McTeigue ("V for Vendetta,"), Dennis Iliadis ("The Last House on the Left"remake) and Scott Stewart ("Legion")

Somebody WILL say yes eventually and unfortunately...Stay Tuned.
