The new Nicolas Cage film "Season of the Witch" was supposed to open nation wide on March 19th...Not so fast says Variety...Wtitten by Bragi Schut the film is about a girl suspected of being a witch, was pulled by the suits at Lionsgate with no new date scheduled.
March 19th is a very crowed weekend at the box office: Also on tap is the family comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid the sci-fi pic "Repo Man," starring Jude law and Forest Whitaker; the comedy "The Bounty Hunter," starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler; and the music biopic The Runaways with Kristen Stewart
A wise move indeed.
