12-year-old actor Leo Howard (Young Snake Eyes in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra") will play the hero in the making reports Latino Review.
The part will encompass the opening minutes of the Marcus Nispel-directed flick.
The film is based on Robert E. Howard tales for 1930's pulp fiction. Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly's story is said to be closer to that source material than the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
Pre-production is underway in Bulgaria for release next year.
