T-Wishes From Wisher

Now that Pacificor has won the rights to oversee the future of the Terminator franchise earlier this week...

William Wisher, who worked with James Cameron on"The Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" scripts, apparently has worked on the writing for "Terminator 5" as well as "T- 6" according to Deadline Hollywood

The site met with the writer and had a chance to read a detailed 24-page treatment for the fifth film, and a 4-page concept outline for the sixth one.

Wisher's premise starts in a post-apocalyptic battleground. He also uses the core characters using an element of time travel that allows for Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese to interact again. Yet still use plot points from the Wisher-less sequels set-up in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation to maintain continuity,

It also includes a role for Arnold Schwarzenegger that is as suprising as his switchero from villain in the first film to John Connor's bodyguard in T-2.

I'm intrigued and excited by the notion of Wisher's possible return to the franchise. Since Cameron is staying clear of the franchise--Wisher's involvement would be key in righting this wayward ship. Pacificor should and would be wise to meet with Wisher at the very least.
