Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly's untitled action-comedy pitch has been picked up says The Hollywood Reporter.

Going for a "Tropic Thunder" vibe--The story of the film has three such actors helping bust a DVD-bootlegging operation. When it turns out to be a front for much more nefarious activities, the comedy trio ends up on the run from crooks and cops alike.

Trevorrow has done research into the practice of various police departments who recruit improv actors to help out on low-level stings
