Fanboy fave Rachel Nichols has been cast as love interest Tamara in director Marcus Nispel’s Conan remake says Latino Review. The character is a novitiate at a Greek influenced monastery and serves as the Queen’s servant, bodyguard and best friend.
When Tamara is separated from the Queen, the martial arts-trained young protector finds herself teaming with Conan (Jason Momoa) to track down the evil Khalar Singh (Stephen Lang has been offered the role) before he kills the Queen and becomes immortal.
The G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and Star Trek gal beat out Jessica Lucas and The L Word’s Sarah Shahi for the role.
Mickey Rourke, Bob Sapp and Leo Howard also star in the film--written by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Sean Hood and Joshua Oppenheimer--which is due to start filming soon
