Craig Gillespie ("Lars and the Real Girl," "Mr. Woodcock") is the frontrunner to direct the remake of the 1985vampire cult horror/comedy classic Fright Night says The Los Angeles Times.
Gillespie apparently beat out at least three other directors to tell the story which will follow the previous film's main plot of a young man discovering his neighbors are vamps
Veteran Buffy "TV producer Marti Noxon wrote the updated script .
Mike De Luca and Alison Rosenzweig will produce the pic.
