The feature film version of the 60's TV series classic "Gilligan's Island" is moving ahead says Variety.
Created by Sherwood Schwartz the film will be a contemporary update of the show which followed a group of zany tourists shipwrecked on an uninhabited Pacific island several hundred miles off Hawaii.
Brad Copeland is penning the script.
Sherwood will executive produce with his son Lloyd Schwartz while Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are set to produce
Shooting is due start next year shortly after a director is hired
