On A Dare

Sam Worthington is the lead contender to play the lead in the film version of Dan Dare says Pajiba.

A comic book hero--described and as the British equivalent of Buck Rogers--is "chief pilot of the Interplanet Space Fleet." created by Frank Hampson. Hampson not only invented Dan Dare and his entire world, he also put together the original team of artists and wrote the first two stories. Dan Dare appeared in the Eagle Comics story Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future in 1950

The character also came to life 7 times a week on Radio Luxembourg.

There isn't a writer or a director locked yet but the studio is looking.. With Worthington now attached they want to fast track the project
