Wave Of The WondLa

Tony DiTerlizzi's upcoming young adult novel "The Search for WondLa" is being adapted for the big screen says Deadline.

The first book in a proposed series, follows Eva Nine an orphaned girl who has grown up in a hi-tech subterranean home run by a robotic matriarch. Eva ends up on the run when her home comes under attack and she tries to find other humans like her, inspired by a drawing with the word 'WondLa' attached.

Ellen Goldsmith-Vein will produce the film adaptation.

DiTerlizzi also wrote the popular "The Spiderwick Chronicles" book series
