Marisa Tomei is in talks to join the film version of Michael Connelly's book "The Lincoln Lawyer" says Production Weekly. The story follows a low-level criminal defense attorney (Matthew McConaughey) who ends up representing a wealthy client with ties to a previous murder case he handled.
Tomei will play McConaughey's ex-wife and the case's prosecuting attorney Maggie McPherson.Actor Tommy Lee Jones was to direct and co-star in the pic but left last year
John Romano penned the screenplay
No production date has been set.
The Lincoln Lawyer comes to theaters in 2011.
