Elizabeth Perkins is leaving her acclaimed cable series Showtime's Weeds after five years for a return to films says The Hollywood Reporter. She has signed on to play a mother figure in the live-action/CG-animated hybrid comedy "I Hop"
In the pic James Marsden plays an unemployed slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers.
As Fred struggles with the world's worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up. Perkins will play Marsden's exasperated mother.
Kaley Cuoco co-stars
Tim Hill directs and an April 1st 2011 release date has been set. Perkins is also developing a comedy series in which she will star.
