Even as the MacGyver spoof MacGruber hits theaters today-- The Hollywood Reporter says that Jason Richman of Bangkok Dangerous fame will write the film adaptation of the 80's action TV series.Richard Dean Anderson (pictured) starred as a resourceful secret agent who uses ingenious, science-inspired trickery to escape danger.
Raffaella De Laurentiis,and Martha De Laurentiis are producing, the pic with series creator Lee Zlotoff.
The plan is to make the film straight-up but still keep it fun.
