Mee Myself & I

Matt Damon may team up with "Almost Famous" filmmaker Cameron Crowe for his film adaptation We Bought a Zoo says The Hollywood Reporter..

Based upon a memoir by Benjamin Mee, the story follows a man who used his family's life savings to buy a dilapidated zoo in the English countryside.

Mee and his children had to balance caring for his terminally ill wife and dealing with all the related animal issues including readying the zoo for a reopening.

Damon is in early talks to portray Mee

Aline Brosh McKenna wrote the original script adaptation which Crowe has been rewriting her to reflect his own film sensibilities.

Julie Yorn produces.

The film marks Crowe's first film since 2005's "Elizabethtown" and is already slated for a December 2011 release.
