Twi-hards take note:
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Twilight film series writer Melissa Rosenberg says she has found a way to get around the explicit sex and child birth scenes in the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2 - by not writing them into the script..
"For me it's actually more interesting to not see it. You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth ... it doesn't mean it's any less evocative of an experience" says Rosenberg.
The statement has caused debate on the Web over what fans may see vs what they want to see, especially considering the child birth scene is not only graphic and quite violent but also has major consequences for Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson).
Was this decision a studio mandate or a writers' choice?
I'm sure the suits want to maintain the series as PG-13--
Earlier this week, Rosenberg told Sci-Fi Wire that the 'split' between the two parts of 'Breaking Dawn' will likely take place just after this 'not safe for consumption' birthing scene - "She's human and pregnant in one, she's a vampire and a parent in two... That said, there's a lot of room about where that moment is."
It's really in the hands of director Bill Condon, how much and what we ultimately see. I would think we would see some sex and toned down birth sequence.
Much ado about nothing if you ask me... since you can always show more on the DVD down the road if ya want
