Keenen Ivory Wayans ("Little Man," "White Chicks") will write and direct the comedy It Takes a Village says Deadline. The story follows a 30-something white single career-obsessed woman who decides to adopt a child from a South Pacific island. Somehow she comes home with the tribe's chief and seven elders who take up residence in her gated community until she proves herself as mother material.
Wayans, Todd Garner and Rick Alvarez will produce the pic.
