Abstinence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder


An interesting on screen pairing is taking shape...

Steve Carell and Sandra Bullock will star in the comedy "The Abstinence Teacher"reports The Press Association.

Taken from Tom Perrotta's upcoming book. which the author will adapt for the screen--The story is set in a conservative small town, Bullock would play the divorced local high school's sex education teacher who has a breezy attitude to sex. Carell would play a reformed alcoholic turned born again evangelical Christian who initially clashes with the teacher, and then both find themselves growing closer.

The pic marks a reunion between Carell and "Little Miss Sunshine" directing duo Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris who are in talks to call action

Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa will produce.

Two of Perotta's other works, "Election" and "Little Children", have previously been adapted for the big screen and also produced by Dayton and Faris.
