The 2010 Fall Movie Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly among other things confirms that the split between the two parts of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows will take place later in the story than expected.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Part I will end at about Chapter 24 of the book, with Voldemort gaining possession of the Elder Wand".
This comes later than expected since the book is 36 chapters long, making the cut off point at the end of the first film around the two-thirds mark of the story.
This means Part II opening next July would cover the Gringotts break-in and the Battle of Hogwarts
