Paula Patton has won the female lead in Mission: Impossible IV reports Deadline. Patton will play a young operative who works with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise).
She beat out fellow actresses Kristin Kreuk and Lauren German for the role.
Jeremy Renner also stars.
Brad Bird’s calling the shots on the sequel that begins shooting this Fall.
Patton was quite good when she co-starred with Denzel Washington in Tony Scott's sci-fi action thriller Déjà Vu, and I expect to see her do the same kind of work here as well
