German director Oliver Hirschbiegel, the Oscar-nominated director of Downfall will helm the thriller The Dark Side of the Moon. says Variety.
Based on the bestselling book by Swiss author Martin Suter, the story centers on a successful attorney whose life is turned upside down after a mind-opening mushroom trip. Thinking his life doesn't make sense, he begins to withdraw from society.
David Marconi, who penned Enemy of the State and Live Free or Die Hard adapted the script.

Shooting is scheduled to begin next spring around Switzerland, Germany and France.
