Deadline reports that Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short and Catherine O'Hara will all reunite with director Tim Burton on his feature length remake of his '84 short Frankenweenie
John August who also worled with Burton on Corpse Bride, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wrote this screenplay that follows a boy who brings his dog back to life after the pet gets hit by a car and dies.
Ryder will voicr the role of Elsa, while Landau will provide the voice of Mr. Rzykruski. Short and O'Hara will voice 5 characters each. Short plays Bob, Nassor, Toshiaki, Victor's Dad and Mr. Bergermeister. O'Hara voices Edgar, Weird Girl, Victor's Mom, and Gym Teacher.
The stop motion 3-D animated pic's slated for release on March 9, 2012.
