Johnny Depp might co-star in Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming flick “Sleeping Dogs" according to Deadline New York.
Formerly titled Triple Frontier--The story centers around five men of varying age who all work in the Triple Frontier, the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge and is a haven for organized crime and terrorist funding activities.
“The Hurt Locker”'s scribe Mark Boal penned the script.
Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Steve Alexander will produce the pic.
Tom Hanks could also star in the project.
And while Depp is interested in co-starring with Hanks, his commitment on Dark Shadows (that's finally gonna go?...) in February clashes with this film which begins shooting around the same time.
An arrangement could be found allowing Depp to shoot both projects simultaneously.
