Chris Zylka (the TV version of  "10 Things I Hate About You" and the upcoming Shark Night 3D) has been cast as Eugene "Flash" Thompson, Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) bullying high school nemesis, in Marc Webb's as yet Untitled Spider-Man Reboot says Comic Book Movie.

"True Blood:" and rumored Superman: Man of Steel  candidate Joe Manganiello played the character in Sam Raimi's first "Spider-Man" film in 2002. No word on how big a role Flash will have in this incarnation..

The script penned by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent sees the wall crawler take on the Lizard (Ifans)

Zooey Deschanel is in talks to play Betty Brant.
