"...Whose Perversions And Unreasoning Hatred...

German actress Antje Traue is the frontrunner to play a female villain in Zack Snyder's big budget reboot "Superman: Man of Steel," says Deadline.

Speculation is that the as yet revealed role is that of Ursa (Sarah Douglas in Richard Donner’s Superman and both versions of "Superman II") or her direct inspiration Faora) opposite Michael Shannon playing the role of General Zod in the film. Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike and Diane Kruger have been linked to the part as well.

Traue tested for Alice Braga's role in The Rite, and also met Marc Forster to play Brad Pitt's character's wife in World War Z, a role that went to Mireille Enos. Traue starred with Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid in Pandorum

Henry Cavill Amy Adams Kevin Costner and Diane Lane also star

David S. Goyer is writing the screenplay based on a story he concocted with Christopher Nolan

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas Deborah Snyder, and Nolan will be producers on the film.

If this item turns out to be true--I suspect confimation from the studio shortly.

Production will start in Vancouver in May for release next year
