Hugh Bonneville looks to lead Shoreline Entertainment’s Captain Nemo. The “steampunk” feature, a more or less sequel of Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, sees Nemo fighting a mad genius alongside President Ulysses S. Grant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, filming begins in Beijing this August with Pearry Teo (The Gene Generation) in the director’s chair; Illuminate Hollywood will supervise the 3D aspect of “Nemo”.
